Our current thoughts - and please feel invited to voice you opinion:
- No POAS'ing - have the beta on Thursday, but not get the results until after the beta on Saturday.
- POAS in the evening starting tonight (11 dpo) or tomorrow (12 dpo)
- POAS the morning of the beta on Thursday and if it is negative, call in sick to work.
- Plan on taking the first half of Thursday off and wait for Beta results together (no prior hpt's)
Your Score: The Wolf
Here's your results! Your spirit animal has a Nobility ranking of 12 out of 18.
Your spirit animal is the wolf. It is a ferocious companion, and a loyal friend. It is both a respectable and noble creature; to have this spirit animal says good things about you, and that you are starting to figure things out. Wolves are pretty rare spirit animals.
***Wondering how this animal was chosen for you? These questions were carefully thought out to see how important you hold certain virtues such as: humanism, self-knowledge, rationalism, the love of freedom and other somewhat Hellenic ideals. Some of the questions were very subtle. Your score was then matched with an animal of corresponding nobility. However, you shouldn't think this was a right/wrong sort of test, but more of an idealistic values test. It's ok to not hold these values, you'll just get an animal spirit of lower stature if you do!***

Honestly, as much as I lean towards not POAS I usually do. And then end up with AF the next day. I dont think I have ever made it to beta without af. So I cant give you advice there. But either way I think you should take the day off and enjoy yourselves no matter what the result is. Of course I am praying for a BFP! :)
It's pretty silly of me to even bother posting a comment since you how out insanely addicted to pee sticks I am. For me, the anxiety of not knowing (when I could have an answer) is far worse than knowing whatever the outcome is. We all handle stress in different ways, and while I do okay with disappointment, I do not do so okay with the unknown.
POAS. Pee. On. A. Stick. Do it now. Right now!!! :-)
"POAS the morning of the beta on Thursday and if it is negative, call in sick to work."
That's my vote! To which I'd like to add the following:
"If it is positive, call in sick to work and spend the rest of the day rejoicing with Brad (after first updating blog to share the good news with the internets!)"
I am so very much crossing all fingers and toes and wishing so hugely that this week will bring fantastic news for you guys!
Kami, I wanted to email you about Ernest's birth story but I wasn't sure if I should. As a student nurse I wish my classmates could read what you wrote about your experience and treatment in the hospital. We need to be acutely aware of the profound affect of our actions, especially with the patients we care for who are going through tremendously stressful and emotional situations like your's and Brad's. I hope to be the kind of nurse who never forgets that. Thank you for sharing Ernest's birth story with us. It was so touching and heartfelt.
Don't POAS until Thursday. I did at 12dpo and got a negative. Then, a few days later, I got a positive. And yes, call in sick to work regardless, because you'll need time to yourself no matter what.
I have no assvice here. I played this game too many different ways and although I'd like to think I've figured out the way to do it best, there really is no such thing. The only way to feel like you did it right is to have an BFP in the end.
Here's hoping that you get it this time!
I had to read through your post and several comments to figure out what POAS meant.
So. No assvice from me. Aren't you lucky?
I totally believe the loyal part.
I wish I had advice for you. I think you'll want to know the results on the day of your BETA so I would probably take the day off with Brad. Either way it will be nice to be together to support or to celebrate. As for POAS - I'm completely afraid of them and can't get myself to test. Good luck and I can't wait to hear the good news on Thursday.
I'm totally going to poas.
I have a massive cheap internet derived collection and I don't want to be blinsided by The Call about a neg beta. I'd rather know
But you're probably much braver than I am :)
