You're right...chirping seems to speak to the soul.

Thanks for the evocation!

I'll take chirping birds over yelling kids every day!

Depends on how early that wake up call is. But yes, it's a very nice sound.

It must be a bird day! I worked from home today so I could head out to GYN in PM for some uterus torture that turned out to be a piece of cake. But I digress, I sat on the couch after a conference call with my amazing, beautiful little furbaby Liv on my lap, loving her and telling her how fulfilled I am with her and that I hope I don't get pregnant with a girl so she can be the only girl in my life (hey, if it makes her feel better...:) and she and I were watching the most beautiful birds gliding in my yard from tree to tree. Beautiful red cardinals and Blue Jays. The most vibrant colors. One of my cats sat up against the glass doors staring at each movement, as if his eyes could hypnotize them into flying at the house, sliding the door open and walking straight into his mouth. Then he started making a funny, grinding noise with his teeth - which I guess for wild cats means, "I'm about to make mince meat out of you" but for my Pekingese (who is a tough terror chick), she jumped off my lap and gave him a whoopin' for annoying her with that sound. ;) Five minutes later they were spooning one another, madly in love again. I love my "kids!"

Sorry I have been a crappy commenter of late. I do read every post, just often don't find myself with anything pertinent to say. I know that's lame. I guess there's no real excuse. Just wanted to let you know I AM still here!

My perfect moment Monday: having the house all to myself. ALL day. (In fact all day every day for the next two weeks. Yeah!)
